great trip report! The sunrise while landing was gorgeous. If you had taken the flight NH 175 at 10:30 am to NRT, you would have had a full experience
I flew ANA between Narita and Naha back in February and the safety video just gave me amazing flashbacks of that flight! Awesome video

Tip: If you have to fly on a late night ANA flight out of LAX, you can considering buying a caviar kit at Petrossian in the shopping are of the international terminal. Ask the ANA FA to serve it to you.

so good to know that ana doesnt dim the cabin lights when taking off, i will fly ana from Jakarta (local time 9.45 p.m.) and hopefully i can record it

The overnight flights have the worst jet lag. I like arriving in Tokyo at night so I can go straight to bed to reset my internal clock.
To this day, still one of my favorite flying experiences. Thanks for the nostalgia!

19:10 I have noise cancelling headphones… but why would you want to block out that miracle sound of flying above Earth at 35,000ft?
Flying NH111 from ORD to HND in April. It is a 5:25PM departure, so hoping to get full service. You commented on the service, but didn't really show any of that.
